Job summary

Hitachi Rail Limited is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to own the full bid lifecycle from strategy to submission and handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate estimates and graphics, and ensure compliance with all tender requirements in a fast-paced, collaborative, hybrid environment.

The role requires a sharp commercial mindset, strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage budgets and timelines while delivering compelling,

Qualifications

• Experience managing bids across full lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Shipley/APMP Capture and Bid management processes.
• Strong proposal planning, writing and review skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary bid teams.
• Financial acumen including budgeting and cost-benefit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute bid strategies and bid plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary bid teams across units and countries.
• Ensure compliance with tender instructions and budgets.
• Coordinate proposal development and graphics.
• Manage estimating activities and cost inputs.
• Coordinate expert peer reviews for high-quality submissions.
