BID Role:
- Provide a visual deterrence and presence in the allocated BID area.
- Deliver excellent customer service to businesses, residents, and visitors.
- Use the Alert App and other platforms to report all activity in your BID area.
- Support the area and business within a reasonable travel distance as directed by Senior or Client Management.
- Maintain a visible, proactive, and reassuring presence in the BID area.
- Engage with businesses to communicate BID work and provide advice on crime or other issues.
- Visit businesses regularly and maintain contact to offer reassurance and information.
- Support the link between the BID and local businesses.
- Report public realm issues to relevant authorities.
- Identify, investigate, deter, and report crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Develop effective working relationships with clients, BID Wardens, Area Managers, and other partners including police and local councils.
- Attend meetings as necessary and complete reports related to BID activities.
- Participate in coordinated patrols of problem areas.
- Report incidents and activities via electronic platforms, including KPI updates.
- Be approachable and friendly to locals, tourists, and all persons in the area.
- Study the BID area to provide advice or assistance as needed.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by Client or Lodge Management.
Person Specification:
- SIA Licence (CP, DS, or Security) essential.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient with technology, including smartphones and reporting apps.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Confident in handling issues and escalating when necessary.
- Willing to work circa 5 shifts per week, including weekends.
- Experience in similar roles preferred.
- Supportive team player with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to conduct ongoing patrols across the BID area.
