Job summary

Simarco International is seeking a Reporting & BI Analyst to join its IT team, based in Witham, Essex or Stoke-on-Trent. The role focuses on developing and improving reporting across the business, turning data into clear insight for operational and management teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong Power BI experience, advanced Excel skills, and working SQL knowledge. This hybrid role offers progression, training, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Advanced Excel with Pivot Tables, Power Query and complex formulas.
• SQL and data from multiple systems.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with KPI reporting.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to work with stakeholders at various levels.
• Experience in freight forwarding/logistics advantageous; familiarity with VBA/macros/Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create operational, commercial and financial reporting.
• Use Power BI, SQL, Excel and Power Query to analyse and transform data.
• Produce KPI and management information.
• Improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
• Identify trends, exceptions and performance issues.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
• Provide support and training on reporting tools and dashboards.
