Job summary

KDR Talent Solutions is working with a technology-driven business in the transport and commercial services sector to recruit a BI Manager. You will lead the development of the BI function, shape the data strategy and drive AI and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and decision making.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will design and maintain Power BI dashboards and Azure SQL data warehouses, collaborate with stakeholders and champion data-driven insights across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in BI, data analytics or data management roles.
• Advanced SQL Server and Azure SQL expertise.
• Strong Power BI development experience including DAX and data modelling.
• Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses and reporting platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver reporting solutions that drive business performance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable data solutions.
• Experience managing or mentoring BI, data or technical teams.
• Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dataverse, Azure, Microsoft Fabric or Power Platform experience.
• Exposure to AI, automation, API integration or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the BI strategy, roadmap and reporting standards.
• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
• Develop and maintain Azure SQL data warehouse environments and reporting datasets.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
• Improve data quality, governance, documentation and reporting accuracy.
• Automate reporting processes and optimise data models, SQL performance and reporting efficiency.
• Champion best practice across data, reporting and analytics.
• Support the development and execution of the organisation's AI and automation strategy.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve productivity through technology.
• Deliver practical AI-driven and automation initiatives that create measurable business value.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to implement innovative solutions.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
