Job summary

KDR Talent Solutions UK is seeking a BI Manager in Birmingham to lead the BI function, shaping the data strategy and driving insight through reporting and AI-enabled automation. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery in a hybrid setup.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will develop the BI roadmap, build Power BI dashboards, and maintain Azure SQL datasets while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Significant BI, data analytics or data management experience.
• Advanced SQL Server and Azure SQL expertise.
• Strong Power BI development experience, including DAX and data modelling.
• Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses and reporting platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver reporting solutions that drive business performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the BI strategy, roadmap and reporting standards.
• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
• Develop and maintain Azure SQL data warehouse environments and reporting datasets.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
• Improve data quality, governance, documentation and reporting accuracy.
• Automate reporting processes and optimise data models, SQL performance and reporting efficiency.
• Champion best practice across data, reporting and analytics.
• Support AI and automation initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
