Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a BI Developer for a Warton-based, hybrid role. The position involves designing, developing and maintaining BI solutions, with close collaboration with stakeholders to produce reports and visualisations.

The candidate will work within an agile environment, leveraging Cognos Analytics, Framework Manager and Tableau, and should have experience with data sources and DV or data warehouse SQL.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies including change management and version control.
• Proficient in BI development using Cognos Analytics, Framework Manager and Tableau.
• Knowledge of connecting to data sources and working with Data Virtualisation environments or data warehouse SQL.
• Must possess HND in Computing and Cognos Report Studio Advanced certificate or equivalent.

Job description

BI Developer

Warton Based (Hybrid working)

79.38 per hour Umbrella inside IR35

8 Month Contract

Currently recruiting for a BI Developer to work within one of the Uk's leading defence organisations in Warton. Hybrid working arrangement. 3 days per week on site.

A Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions within an iterative development environment.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to transform and present information into meaningful outputs through reports and visualisations.

Knowledge:

• Develop in accordance with a software development lifecycle framework and have experience in working within Agile methodologies using change management and version control software.

Skills:

• Competent in development of BI solutions which include Cognos Analytics, Framework Manager, Tableau (where applicable). Knowledge and awareness of connecting to data sources and working with data held in a Data Virtualisation (DV) environment or data warehouse SQL

Qualifications:

• They must posses a minimum qualification of a HND in Computing and have a Cognos Analytics Report Studio Advanced certificate or alternative Report writing certificate. They must have a good understanding of modelling data using the Kimball methodology and experience in using ETL technologies.
