At Play Sports Network, we’re looking for a talented BI Developer / Analytics Engineer to help transform how we use data across our leading global cycling media business - and to take our insight function into the AI era.

About The Role

You’ll join our small but mighty data & insight team, building out scalable data models, user-friendly dashboards, and AI-powered reporting tools to drive smarter decisions across content, marketing, and e-commerce.

From integrating APIs (like YouTube and Shopify) to experimenting with machine learning for forecasting and automation, this is a rare opportunity to do cutting-edge work in a business that values creativity, autonomy, and technical excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain pipelines using SQL, BigQuery, dbt, and Looker.
• Use tools like ChatGPT, AutoML, and natural language querying to automate and scale reporting.
• Partner with stakeholders to uncover opportunities in content, commerce, and marketing.
• Integrate and manage external APIs (e.g. YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Shopify).
• Lead data quality, governance, and innovation projects using AI where it adds value. Continuously explore new tools to enhance speed, insight and automation.

What You’ll Need

• Solid SQL and data pipeline experience (BigQuery, dbt, Looker or similar)
• Curiosity about AI, automation, or predictive analytics
• Ability to translate technical work into real-world impact
• Comfortable working with business teams in a fast-moving, creative environment
  
  

Nice To Have

• Experience with Python, R, or no-code ML tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT)
• Familiarity with e-commerce, YouTube/social or marketing data
• Knowledge of GA4, GTM, Shopify or media analytics
