Job summary

Blue Light Card Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a BI Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on metrics governance and enablement. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders to define key measures, then build data models and end-to-end reporting to empower self-serve analytics.

Work mainly with SQL, dbt and Lightdash in an AI-assisted environment, delivering clear analysis, robust documentation and reliable dashboards while coaching colleagues across the business.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data models in a modern analytics stack such as dbt.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills with ability to scope, build, test and deliver.
• Experience building dashboards and reports in a BI tool (Lightdash/Looker/Tableau).
• Comfortable with stakeholders at all levels, including senior stakeholders.
• Ability to turn open-ended business problems into clear analysis and recommendations.
• Experience coaching colleagues who are not data specialists.
• Use of AI tools to work faster with good quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Support our metrics governance programme by helping stakeholders agree ownership of key measures.
• Build and maintain data models and dashboards end to end from first question to finished product.
• Scope, build, test and deliver dbt and SQL work with AI-assisted development where helpful.
• Document and test the data behind each key measure and keep definitions current.
• Deliver regular business reporting with accuracy and care and keep analytics tools reliable.
• Coach colleagues who are not data specialists and promote best-practice data use.
• Partner with stakeholders to turn priorities into clear, reliable measures and reporting.
• Turn open-ended business problems into clear analysis and recommendations and communicate progress.
