Job summary

Proactive Appointments is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst onsite in Grimsby to support performance insight, reporting and data-led decision making. You will turn complex datasets into clear, actionable management information and partner with IT and business stakeholders across the organisation.

In this role you will generate and develop reports, own your workload, and ensure KPIs and strategic goals are met.

Qualifications

• BI reporting experience in financial services is beneficial.
• SAS Viya reporting and data mining experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience extracting, manipulating, and analysing data to identify performance trends.

Business Intelligence Analyst

Onsite based in Grimsby

We're working with a leading financial services client who is looking to hire a Business Intelligence Analyst to support performance insight, reporting, and data-led decision making across the organisation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys turning complex datasets into clear, actionable management information and partnering with stakeholders across IT and the wider business.

In this role, you'll provide insightful analysis and reporting to help drive portfolio performance and support key strategic decisions. You'll generate and develop reports using business platforms within the IT function, taking ownership of your own workload and projects to ensure KPIs and wider business strategies are met. You'll be responsible for extracting, manipulating, and analysing data to understand performance trends and expectations across the portfolio, producing accurate and up-to-date reporting under strict deadlines.

A key part of the position is maximising SAS Viya to deliver high-quality reporting and analysis, alongside regular weekly and monthly data extraction and reporting cycles. You'll use both internal database sets and SAS database mining software to develop solutions that meet evolving business needs, plus take on additional tasks as required.
