Job summary

ExamWorks Investigation Services Limited is seeking an MI Analyst to join a hybrid team based near Horwich, Bolton. You will develop data marts and robust reports, delivering BAU and ad hoc insights to support business decisions.

You will work with Power BI (Fabric) and SSRS, manage multiple data sources, and mentor junior colleagues while driving improvements to governance and automation.

Qualifications

• Experience building reports in Power BI (Fabric preferred).
• Experience with SSRS reporting.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server (2016+) and T-SQL.
• Experience working with multiple data sources and platforms.
• Previous experience in an MI/BI reporting role.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivery & BAU Reporting.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and maintain ad hoc reports.
• Balance project work with day-to-day reporting to meet deadlines.
• Review existing reporting to reduce duplication and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain data marts and warehouses using SQL Server.
• Build and maintain reporting solutions in Power BI (Fabric) and SSRS.
• Lead automation and scheduling of standardised reporting.
• Ensure outputs align with team and company standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
• Gather and document business requirements.
• Engage stakeholders using workshops, interviews and other methods.
• Promote MI capabilities across the business.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on reporting solutions.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Stay up to date with industry tools, techniques and trends.

MI Analyst

Reporting to: Business Intelligence Lead
Location: Hybrid / Horwich, Bolton.

We are looking for a talented and detail driven MI Analyst to join our growing MI team. This role is pivotal in delivering high quality reporting and insight to support key business decisions.

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Lead, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of data marts, ensuring they are robust, reliable, and scalable, alongside delivering business as usual reporting requirements.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping reporting solutions, driving automation, and producing meaningful analysis that identifies trends and patterns across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery & BAU Reporting

Essential

Qualifications
