The Role…
At Soho House, a Beverage Controller is responsible for the effective management and control of beverage stock across the House, ensuring accurate inventory levels, stock movements and reporting.
Working closely with the Food & Beverage, Bar and Finance teams, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate beverage stock levels, monitoring usage and variances, supporting cost control and ensuring that all deliveries, transfers and stock movements are recorded correctly.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within beverage control, stock control or inventory management, ideally within a high-volume hospitality, restaurant, hotel or bar environment. You will be highly organised, confident working with stock data and able to identify discrepancies and work with operational teams to resolve them.

Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for all beverage stock, including wines, spirits, beers, soft drinks and other bar products
Receive and check beverage deliveries, ensuring quantities and products match purchase orders and delivery documentation
Ensure all beverage stock movements, transfers, wastage and adjustments are accurately recorded
Conduct regular beverage stock counts and support month-end inventory processes
Monitor stock levels and work with operational teams to ensure appropriate availability while avoiding unnecessary overstock
Review and investigate beverage stock variances, identifying potential causes and working with managers to resolve discrepancies
Support the monitoring of beverage costs, usage and wastage to help maintain agreed cost-of-sales targets
Produce accurate stock and variance reports, highlighting trends, discrepancies and areas requiring action
Work closely with Bar Managers, F&B Managers and Finance to maintain strong stock-control processes
Ensure appropriate stock rotation and storage standards are maintained across all beverage areas
Monitor high-value beverage items and ensure appropriate controls are in place
Support the implementation and maintenance of effective stock-control procedures across the House
Identify opportunities to improve beverage stock processes, reduce wastage and strengthen cost control
Support and guide operational teams on correct stock handling, recording and control procedures
What we are looking for...
Good understanding of beverage products and wet-stock management
Experience working within a restaurant, hotel, members' club, bar or other high-volume F&B environment would be advantageous
Strong numerical skills with the ability to understand stock figures, variances and costs
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Confident working with stock-management systems and spreadsheets
Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify potential causes
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with operational and finance teams
Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
