Job summary

BCP Council invites applications for the Best Start Inclusion Practitioner within the Best Start Family Hubs programme. You will identify developmental needs early and ensure families receive timely, coordinated support across hub sites.

Role involves direct work with children aged 0-5 and families, through drop-ins, appointments, and home visits, promoting inclusion and reducing inequalities. DBS checks apply and flexible adjustments are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children and families.
• Good understanding of child development.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs and SEND.

Responsibilities

• Work face-to-face with families through drop-ins, appointments, group activities and home visits.
• Identify emerging developmental needs at the earliest opportunity.
• Provide coordinated and inclusive early intervention support across Family Hub networks.
• Collaborate with partners to improve outcomes for children.
