Job summary

Blackpool Family Hubs seeks enthusiastic Best Start Inclusion Practitioners to join the Early Help workforce. You will support babies, young children and families, identify needs, promote inclusion and help families access services across health, education and early help sectors.

You will work with parents, carers and professionals to improve outcomes and strengthen family resilience. DBS checks and safeguarding requirements apply; role may involve working outside standard hours.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Child Development, Education, Health, SEND or related field.
• Experience with children aged 0–5 years and their families.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs and SEND.
• Understanding of child development and inclusive practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to undertake whole family assessments and contribute to family plans.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with families, communities and partner agencies.
• Committed to inclusion, early intervention and achieving the best outcomes for children.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, flexible and responsive support to families with children aged 0–5 years.
• Identify emerging needs, promote inclusion and help families access the right support and services.
• Work closely with parents, carers and professionals across health, education and early help services to improve outcomes and strengthen family resilience.
