Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is recruiting five Best Start in Life Inclusion Practitioners to provide coverage across Warwickshire's five districts and boroughs. The role is full-time, 37 hours, with flexible agile working and base at Hatters Space Family Hub, Nuneaton.

Post is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2028. You will work in a countywide team to deliver targeted early intervention and inclusive practice for children aged 0-5 and their families across Warwickshire.

Qualifications

• We are looking for practitioners with a Level 3 qualification or above in SEND, Early Years, Education, Health, Social Care, or a related field.
• Experience of supporting babies and young children aged 0-5 with identified, emerging or additional needs.
• Knowledge of child development, language development, attachment theory and inclusive practice.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and local SEND pathways.
• Experience of working with families and professionals across education, health and social care.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to children and families with additional needs across Warwickshire.
• Deliver evidence-informed interventions and model inclusive practice.
• Support early identification of developmental needs including speech and language, neurodiversity and SEND.
• Work in an integrated multi-agency team to coordinate support locally.
