Job summary

Aggreko in Widnes is seeking a BESS Technician to join the Operations Team. You will ensure fleet readiness for hire through turnarounds, repairs and maintenance, including upgrades, retrofits and modifications to meet customer requirements.

The role requires experience with BESS and a technical qualification, plus strong IT and communication skills, with occasional travel to support customers. The role is based at the Widnes depot and offers a competitive salary, a generous pension, annual

Qualifications

• Experience working with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Technical qualifications in a relevant discipline (City & Guilds / ONC Level 3).
• Ability to learn a broad range of products and applications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out post-contract assessments and set correct asset status.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults with modifications as required.
• Perform maintenance and repairs per procedures, liaising with suppliers when needed.
• Provide technical and operational support for BESS on-site and remotely.
• Maintain service records, Field Service Logs and ATA reports.
