Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive bespoke machinery projects from concept through to manufacture, blending mechanical design, fabrication, automation, and robotics.

You will join a growing engineering team to create 3D models, develop detailed drawings in SolidWorks, and ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and manufacturable across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks and 3D CAD experience.
• Experience designing machinery or capital equipment.
• Good understanding of fabrication, welding and sheet metal design.
• A hands-on engineering mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to take designs from concept through manufacture.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills in a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design bespoke machinery and equipment from concept through to production.
• Work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and manufacturable.
• Develop sheet metal, fabrication and mechanical assemblies.
• Support the integration of automation and robotic systems into machinery designs.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to continuous product development and innovation.
