Job summary

Dexes Bespoke Furniture, a family-run company, seeks a skilled Bench Joiner/Cabinet Maker in Harlow to craft bespoke furniture from drawings. You will cut, assemble and finish components, using traditional joinery and modern machinery, while ensuring precision and quality.

You will read technical drawings, select materials, and work with a workshop team to meet project timelines. Occasional fitting/installation and maintaining a safe workspace are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong carpentry and joinery skills with bench joinery experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings with high accuracy.
• Experience with both hand tools and power tools in a workshop environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and measurements, select materials, and construct bespoke components.
• Cut, assemble and finish cabinets and furniture pieces using hand and power tools.
• Operate range of tools while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with workshop team; assist with fitting and installation when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and contribute to continuous production improvements.
