Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd is supporting a well-established engineering business in seeking a Design Engineer to deliver bespoke mechanical designs from concept to manufacture and installation.

You will work closely with production and installation teams, run 3D designs in SolidWorks, and produce 2D layouts in AutoCAD, with site surveys every 2–3 months. The role demands around 4+ years in lifting and handling or SP machinery and a hands-on engineering background.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical design experience in lifting and handling or SP machinery.
• Strong SolidWorks experience; Inventor or Solid Edge also considered.
• Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
• Full UK driving licence and site surveys when required.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke automation machinery, conveyors, lifting equipment, and crane systems.
• Produce detailed 3D designs using SolidWorks.
• Create 2D layouts and site drawings with AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with production and installation teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Conduct site surveys for projects (roughly every 2–3 months).
• Support projects from concept through to install.
