Job summary

Edward Vinson Limited is seeking a Science Manager to lead the scientific coordination and delivery of research for our berry breeding programmes, covering strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. Reporting to the Breeding Director, you will manage a Science Assistant and drive innovation and project execution.

Qualifications

• PhD in Plant Biology, Genetics, Plant Breeding or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of scientific projects to support berry breeding programmes.
• Manage multiple research projects with milestones, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across breeding, operations, laboratories, propagation and commercial.
• Translate scientific outcomes into commercially viable breeding objectives.
• Provide scientific guidance and mentoring to staff; maintain data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with company protocols and data reporting to leadership.
