Hello! We're Teya.

Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.

At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.

We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.

We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.

We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.

Become a part of our story.

We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.

Your Mission

To lead and enhance Teya’s global benefits strategy, ensuring programs are competitive, employee-centric, and aligned with business needs. This role will also contribute to defining and improving the lifecycle journey of our Teyans by integrating benefits into a broader Talent Experience framework.

The People Experience & Benefits Specialist will own the strategy, design, and execution of Teya’s global benefits (healthcare, pensions, wellness, life insurance) while collaborating on broader experience initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Talent Experience & Development, this role ensures benefits and well-being are seamlessly integrated into Teya’s lifecycle journey to enhance attraction, retention, and engagement.

Global Benefits Strategy & Execution

  • Own and manage Teya’s global benefits programs, ensuring alignment with the needs of our Teyans, market competitiveness, and overall business goals.
  • Lead the transition to a flexible benefits model, allowing Teyans to tailor benefits to their individual needs.
  • Benchmark and optimise benefits by conducting market research, competitive analysis, and feedback reviews to ensure best-in-class offerings.
  • Manage vendor selection, negotiations, and partnerships to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Streamline benefits communication, ensuring Teyans understand and maximise their options.

Teyan Lifecycle & Experience

  • Integrate benefits into Teya’s lifecycle journey, ensuring they contribute to a seamless and engaging experience.
  • Partner with the Brand & Culture team and other members of the People team to align benefits with career progression and well-being initiatives.
  • Support mental health and well-being programs through relevant benefits and engagement initiatives.

Stakeholder & Project Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth benefits administration and compliance.
  • Lead and contribute to key Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, and Onboarding initiatives as part of the Talent Experience and Development team.
  • Act as a trusted partner on people-related topics, providing insights to leaders and teams.

Your Story

  • Experience: 2-3 years in HR, employee experience, project management, or a related field, with a proven record of designing and implementing initiatives
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders and manage vendors relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data and transform it into actionable insights. Familiarity with data visualization and HR analytics tools is a plus.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and delivering on timelines and objectives.
  • HR Knowledge: Familiarity with employee lifecycle processes, and best practices in employee experience.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Able and willing to work collaboratively across multiple employee experience projects.

The Perks

  • We trust you, so we offer flexible working hours, as long it suits both you and your team;
  • Physical and mental health support through our partnership with GymPass giving free access to over 1,500 gyms in the UK, 1-1 therapy, meditation sessions, digital fitness and nutrition apps;
  • Our company offers extended and improved maternity and paternity leave choices, giving employees more flexibility and support;
  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme;
  • Health and Life Insurance;
  • Pension Scheme;
  • 25 days of Annual Leave (+ Bank Holidays);
  • Office snacks every day;
  • Friendly, comfortable and informal office environment in Central London.

Teya is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background can thrive and do their best work. We believe that a diverse team leads to better ideas, stronger outcomes, and a more supportive workplace for all.
