Job summary

MBDA in Stevenage has created a Benefits Coordinator role within the Reward & Benefits team. You will join a small team and help run day-to-day benefit activities, ensuring colleagues feel in control of their benefits.

The role involves delivering a suite of benefits across health, wellbeing and lifestyle, managing monthly reporting to payroll, and working with external providers and HR to support renewals and operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a benefits role would be beneficial.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to manipulate large datasets.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of employee benefits across health & wellbeing, finance and lifestyle benefits with external providers.
  • Contribute to ongoing management and administration of existing employee benefits.
  • Responsible for monthly benefit reporting to providers and payroll.
  • Partner with the HR team and external providers for day-to-day benefit operations and resolve benefit queries.
  • Support the annual benefits renewal project with input to design, communications and testing.
  • Seek to improve and streamline benefit and reward processes and participate in new developments.
  • Collaborate with the broader UK HR team and external providers.
  • Support wider Reward and Benefits projects across compensation, benefits and pensions.

Job description

Join the Reward & Benefits team as a Benefits Coordinator in this newly created position. You'll join a small team of Reward professionals and support the day to day running of the function. It's a fantastic opportunity to ensure our people feel in control of their benefits and build your experience in Reward.

Salary: Circa £35,000 to £42,000 depending on experience

Duration: Fixed-Term contract for 18 months

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1 day per week on site in Stevenage

Security Clearance: Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

In this newly created position, you will be responsible for supporting a team of Reward professionals in the day to day running of the function with the opportunity to work across a breadth of benefit related activities as a Benefits Coordinator.

  • Support the delivery of our suite of employee benefits across health & wellbeing, finance and lifestyle benefits, working with a range of external providers
  • Contribute to the ongoing management and administration of existing employee benefits
  • Responsible for monthly benefit reporting to providers and payroll
  • Partner with the HR team and external providers for day-to-day benefit related operations, including acting as an advisor for the resolution of benefit queries
  • Support the annual benefits renewal project, with input to the design process, communications and testing
  • Actively seek to improve and streamline existing benefit and wider reward processes and be part of the design and development of new processes
  • Work collaboratively with the broader UK HR team as well as external providers
  • Where appropriate you may support wider Reward and Benefit projects across compensation, benefits and pensions.
What we're looking for from you:
  • Specific experience in a benefits role or similar in an HR environment would be beneficial
  • Clear and adaptable communication style to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong excel skills. You must be comfortable in manipulating large datasets whilst maintaining data accuracy
  • Attention to detail and ability to work across various projects
  • Initiative driven, with the ability to work independently.
