Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced bench joiners/assemblers for a local established company in the Stoke-on-Trent area. The role involves producing timber components and ironmongery for fire door sets according to job sheets, while safely operating woodworking machinery and performing quality checks for safety and compliance.

The position offers a temp-to-perm pathway with shifts Monday to Thursday 06:00-17:00 and Friday 06:00-15:00, with overtime opportunities and potential growth

Qualifications

• Experience in bench joinery or assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling woodworking machinery and power/tools safely.
• Ability to read job sheets and specifications for timber components.

Responsibilities

• Produce ironmongery for fire door sets and timber frames from sheets/specs.
• Safely operate standard woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools.
• Quality check to ensure correct installation and safety before dispatch.

Job description

The Best Connection Employment Group Limited are currently recruiting for experienced bench joiners / assemblers to work for a local established company in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

This position is an integral and important role within the manufacturing process, and a great opportunity to work for a well established and growing business.

As a bench joiner / assembler, the role will involve:

• Producing ironmongery to commercial or bespoke fire door sets, frames, and related timber components from job sheets and specifications
• Safely operate standard woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools
• Quality checking product that all specifications have been correct installed and the product is safe and regulated for final/dispatch stage

The shifts will be Monday - Thursday 06:00-17:00 & Friday 06:00 - 15:00 (48 hours paid per week).

The ideal candidate will have a wood work, assembly or production background and looking for their next opportunity on a temporary to permanent basis.
