Bench Hand Joiner

Pay: 16-18 inclusive of shift premium

Shift: Monday to Friday 07:00-16:00 (Early finish on Friday 13:00)

Permanent Contract

Leicester

We are looking for a Bench Hand Joiner to join our client based in Leicester on a permanent contract, on morning shift. Our client is a manufacturer of all interior for hotels, commercial businesses, and restaurants/bars. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components to create furniture, doors, windows, and other wood-based products.
• Operate various hand tools (e.g., saws, planes, chisels) and power machines (e.g., drills, sanders) to perform joinery tasks with precision.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate construction of wooden items.
• Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain tools and materials, ensuring they are in good working condition for efficient production.

Ideal candidate:

• Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner in the construction industry.
• Must have own hand power tools.
• Experience of using hand/air tools.
• Experience of using measuring systems to ensure quality adherence.
• Worked on all types of wood.
