Job summary

Lewis Silkin in Belfast is seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to provide proactive, first-level HR support to the Belfast office. You will work with Belfast partners and London HRBP teams to manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle and contribute to firm-wide people projects.

Qualifications

• Prior experience of working in an HR capacity at HR Advisor level or above, ideally gained in professional services, partnership or a law firm environment.
• Experience of using employee database software and online management tools.
• Ability to organise workload, meet deadlines and work under pressure when necessary.
• Possess an interest in HR trends and legal updates, remaining mindful of potential impacts on duties or wider HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build successful relationships at all levels.
• Excellent numeracy skills with experience using Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive HR support to the Belfast partners, line managers and relevant business teams on all people-related matters, including employee relations issues.
• Act as first point of call and trusted advisor to the Belfast partners ensuring decisions are applied fairly and consistently.
• Support line managers with performance management issues and provide best practice guidance.
• Advise line managers and employees on HR policy, process and culture.
• Oversee absence management, wellbeing concerns, and reasonable adjustments as required.
• Coordinate onboarding, joiners and leavers procedures and regular catch-ups for effective staff integration.
• Assist with recruitment processes in Belfast liaising with stakeholders and clarifying role requirements.
• Produce management information and regular reports.
