Role and Responsibilities:
As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Your responsibilities will include:

Implementing trauma-informed practices to foster a safe, structured learning environment.

Providing one-to-one and group support to help students regulate their emotions and behaviour.

Building strong, trusting relationships to encourage student engagement and personal growth.

Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff to deliver effective support strategies.

Applying positive behaviour management techniques to help students navigate daily challenges.

Encouraging and motivating students to reach both academic and personal milestones.

Monitoring progress and adjusting support strategies as needed.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:

Experience working with students with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.

A trauma-informed approach to supporting vulnerable young people.

High levels of patience, resilience, and empathy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.

A proactive, positive attitude and a genuine passion for making a difference.
