Behaviour & SEMH Teaching Assistants - Alternative Provision


Location: Grantham, Newark and Nottinghamshire
Pay: 90 - 100 per day (PAYE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Term-time only
Start Date: Asap
Contract: Full time, Long Term to Permanent roles only


About the Roles

Are you resilient, active and passionate about helping young people succeed? Long Term Futures are looking for several Behaviour and SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our partner Alternative Provisions. We are working with settings in Grantham, Newark and Nottinghamshire, and our positions are full time, in one school - on a long term to permanent basis.


These settings support pupils who need a different kind of education. Smaller classes, hands-on activities and supportive staff who help them re-engage with learning. Every day is different, and every day you'll be making a real difference.


What You\'ll Be Doing


  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with SEMH and behavioural needs

  • Building trust and encouraging positive choices

  • Taking part in practical, creative and physical learning (sporty, active people are especially encouraged to apply)

  • Assisting teachers and staff to deliver tailored learning and behaviour plans


What We\'re Looking For


  • Resilient, can-do people who can stay calm under pressure

  • Those who can travel reliably to Grantham, Newark or surrounding areas

  • An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
