Your new role
Inyour new job as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you'll mentor pupils throughouttheir school day: from managing behaviour in the classroom to supporting duringtransition times. You'll have the privilege of being a positive role model forpupils and be able to offer 1:1 support for individuals who need greatguidance. The pupils you support will have a range of additional needsincluding SEMH, ASD and ADHD to manage their behaviour. By working with Hays,you'll have access to both part-time and full-time opportunities in SEND andmainstream schools across Leicestershire. What you need to succeed
Tosucceed in your new job, you’ll have experience working with vulnerable youngpeople, ideally in an educational setting or as a mentor/coach. You’re someonewho thrives in challenging environments and you enjoy adapting to newsituations. You’ll have supported with young people with Social, Emotional, andMental Health needs (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASD) and or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD). Most importantly, you’ll be confident stepping into a new school andready to support pupils with a range of needs.
