Job summary

Crawshaw Academy in Pudsey is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join the Pastoral Support Team on a fixed-term basis until 31 December 2026. The role is term-time only (Mon-Thu 08:00–16:00, Fri 08:00–15:30) and aims to support students to overcome barriers to learning, wellbeing and engagement.

You will work closely with students, families and professionals to promote positive behaviour, attendance, inclusion and personal development, fostering a culture where every pupil feels

Qualifications

  • Experience of providing pastoral support to young people.
  • Compassionate and adaptable with commitment to diverse pupil needs.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
  • Clear communicator with excellent organisational skills.

Job description

Fixed Term to December 31st 2026. The post is offered on a fixed-term basis to provide additional capacity and support within the team.

Term-time only. Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00 and Friday, 08:00 - 15:30.

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and relationship-focused Behaviour Support Worker to be part of our Pastoral Support Team. In this rewarding role, you will help create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels valued, respected and able to succeed.

You will support students to overcome barriers to learning, wellbeing and engagement, helping them to develop confidence, positive relationships and strategies to manage challenges successfully. Through restorative, strengths-based approaches, you will work closely with students, families, colleagues and external professionals to promote positive behaviour, attendance, inclusion and personal development.

We recognise that every student has unique strengths, experiences and ways of thinking. As part of our Pastoral Support Team, you will play an important role in fostering a culture of belonging, where individual differences are respected, support is tailored to individual needs and all students are encouraged to thrive and achieve their potential.
