Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a child with challenging behaviour in a mainstream Primary school. This role requires experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a strong ability to handle behavioural challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with a Year 3 student, helping to foster a positive learning environment. Qualifications

£89 - £95 per day dependent on experience

SEN Teaching Assistants Needed

A mainstream Primary school in Oxford is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child on a one-to-one basis. This role will be a behaviour support role as the child displays challenging behaviour. The young child is currently in a Year 3 class. Experience in a similar role is required to be considered for this post. This will be a 3-year contract due to begin ASAP. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with SEMH and have skills in behaviour support.

The Primary School are looking for:

  1. Minimum Level 3 qualification but ideally a degree
  2. Experience working with SEN in any setting
  3. Confidence to work with challenging behaviour at a primary level
  4. Experience working with non-verbal ASD &/or high functioning (not essential but desired)
  5. Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE's in Maths and English - C or above)
  6. Good communication skills
