GSL Education is seeking a patient and dependable Behaviour Support staff member to assist pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a Sheffield secondary school. You'll work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to support behavioural and emotional needs and help create a calm, focused learning environment.

Starting immediately, this long-term/temporary role offers weekly pay and the opportunity to contribute to safeguarding and pupil development.

Qualifications

Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Calm, patient and resilient approach to challenging behaviour.
Confident with maintaining boundaries and school policies.
Ability to work effectively with teachers and pastoral teams.
Commitment to helping young people succeed in education.

Responsabilités

Support secondary students with behavioural, emotional and social needs.
Collaborate with subject teachers to promote participation and positive conduct.
Assist transitions between lessons and reinforce classroom routines.
Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
Encourage emotional regulation and responsible decision-making.
Share observations with teachers and pastoral staff.
