Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen to train as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within either Lambeth or Croydon Talking Therapies.
Training to become a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner is a great opportunity for people looking to pursue a career in Psychology.
As a Trainee PWP, you will have a mix of service and university days. You will be employed through South London & Maudsley NHS Trust and enrolled with University College London (UCL) where you will undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions.
We are looking to train up to 20 Trainee PWPs across Lambeth and Croydon services, starting February 2025.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
UCL provides full-time PWP training, combining university attendance and service work. The training is fully funded by the NHS, and trainees receive a salary from the London IAPT service.
PWPs work with adults across the mental health spectrum, requiring experience with psychological, social, or interpersonal issues, gained through employment or volunteering.
The postgraduate certificate program requires demonstrating postgraduate-level aptitude, via education or equivalent experience.
Applicants should have some experience working with individuals with mental health challenges, using various communication platforms. Interviews are scheduled for July 2024.
