Job Title: Behaviour Support Officer
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Full-Time

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Officer to join a supportive school community in Burnley, Lancashire. This is a full-time role with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in managing their behaviour and engagement with learning.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, and pastoral teams.

  • Implement behaviour strategies and individual support plans.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with behavioural challenges.

  • Promote a positive and inclusive school environment.

  • Record and report incidents accurately and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or within a school setting.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
