Job description

Behaviour Support Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young children with additional learning needs? Do you have experience managing challenging behaviour? Are you motivated to make a real difference in the mental health and well-being of young learners?

Key Information - Behaviour Support Assistant:

* Start Date: ASAP

* Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)

* Pay: £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience)

* Location: Chippenham

We are working with a fantastic specialist primary school in Chippenham that supports children aged 4-11 with Autism and other complex learning needs. The school is looking for a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated team as soon as possible.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional, behavioural, and educational development of pupils. You'll work closely with class teachers and mental health professionals, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a future career in education, child psychology, or youth support work.

A Behaviour Support Assistant role will include:

* Providing support in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis

* Assisting children with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges

* Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

* Working with the school team to contribute to and implement personalised support strategies
