Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a patient and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Walton-on-Thames. You will support children with behavioural and SEND needs to participate in class and develop positive relationships.

The role involves 1:1 and small group support across Foundation Stage to Key Stage 2, helping pupils regulate emotions and stay engaged. Salary is £92-£100 per day, term-time only, with hours 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with behavioural and SEND needs.
• Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils in managing emotions and re-engaging with learning.
• Support wellbeing and safety during lessons, break times, and activities.
• Work with SENCO and parents to review individualised support plans.
