Job summary

Affinity Learning Partnership is seeking a dedicated individual to support students and staff at Affinity Academy. The role involves safeguarding, building positive relationships with students and staff, coordinating detentions and performing a range of administrative duties.

You will be a visible presence around the academy, assist with behaviour procedures, and work flexibly as part of a team while maintaining confidentiality and a calm, professional approach.

  • Experience of working with or caring for children and young people.

  • Good communication and organisational skills; professional, approachable and calm.

  • Willingness to take responsibility for behaviour procedures and admin tasks.

Job description

About this Role

You will have experience of working with or caring for children and young people and be confident in building positive, respectful relationships with students and adults. You will have good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to remain professional, approachable and calm when dealing with challenging or sensitive situations.

You will be able to work effectively as part of a team while also using your own initiative. A flexible and practical approach is essential, as the role involves being a visible presence around the academy, supporting the implementation of behaviour procedures, coordinating detentions and completing a range of administrative tasks.

You will be committed to supporting the needs of students, parents and colleagues, with a 'can do' attitude and a willingness to suggest solutions and respond positively to changing needs. You will understand the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding and promoting high expectations, and will demonstrate professionalism, integrity and respect at all times.

37 hours per week and 39.2 hours per week available.
