Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join a Year 3 class in the Tewkesbury area, working 3 days per week (Mon/Wed/Thu) with an immediate start.

You will support the class teacher, run small group sessions, assist with resources and pupil displays, and help with social development and well-being.

The position suits candidates with appropriate training and safeguarding checks; DBS clearance assistance may be provided by Teaching Personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent not specified; DBS check required or eligible.
• Experience supporting Year 3 pupils is desirable.
• Ability to engage and motivate primary school learners.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher to deliver a diverse educational experience.
• Lead small or individual group sessions outside the classroom as needed.
• Support pupils' social and emotional development and report concerns.
• Assist with administrative duties and resource preparation for lessons.

Your Responsibilities -

• To work alongside the class teacher to help deliver an effective and diverse educational experience.
• To lead small or individual leader sessions outside of the classroom to boost the pupils learning when necessary.
• Support the social and emotional development of pupils, and report any concerns to the relevant person.
• Administrative duties, you will be required to prepare classroom resources etc.
• To assist with lesson planning and delivery when needed.
• Create artistic displays of the pupils work.
