We are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Sunderland to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND. This role is vital in ensuring the student receives consistent, specialised care and guidance throughout the school day.
About the Role:
You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to support the pupil’s individual behaviour and learning plan. The role requires patience, empathy, and commitment, as the pupil needs stability and continuity to make meaningful progress.
Key Requirements:
️ Experience supporting children with SEND and behavioural needs
️ A calm, patient, and consistent approach
️ Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
️ Ability to commit long-term and build a trusting relationship with the pupil
️ Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
