Behaviour Support Assistant Role at Leader Education

Leader Education is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) school based in Morpeth, Northumberland. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with SEMH needs and supporting them in a classroom environment, along with a genuine interest and commitment to helping students reach their full potential.

The typical working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Have an enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Possess Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant qualifications
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies
• Monitor and support students' behaviour and wellbeing
• Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
• Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs
• Previous experience with primary and secondary students in an educational setting
