Behavior Support Assistant at Axcis

Axcis is seeking staff with a social care background to work in a well-resourced school in Islington. As a Behavior Support Assistant, you will be dedicated to improving students' lives by supporting their educational, social, and emotional development. Your responsibilities include:

1. Helping teachers manage behaviour and maintain a calm, focused environment.
2. Encouraging students to perform to the best of their abilities.
3. Promoting independence and recognizing achievements.
4. Providing one-to-one or group support and implementing de-escalation strategies.
5. Maintaining records of student progress and behaviour.

Continuous professional development is available, including training on Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Behaviour Management, and Non-verbal Communication.
