Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a SEMH school in Wandsworth. You’ll provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils aged 11-16, implementing behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques.

The role is full-time with an immediate start, offering daily rate of £95-£115 depending on experience, and opportunities to work closely with teaching and pastoral staff within a supportive, outcome‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs.
• Experience in SEMH schools, PRUs or alternative provision desirable.
• Confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
• Full-time role required ASAP.

Responsibilities

The Role - Behaviour Support Assistant

Seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a specialist SEMH setting in Wandsworth. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and the wider support team to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. The role involves implementing behaviour support strategies, using de-escalation techniques, promoting emotional regulation and helping pupils remain engaged with their learning.
