This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about behaviour management and helping students from diverse backgrounds.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working with students who have struggled with emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them re-engage with their education and manage their emotions in a supportive environment. You will play a crucial role in reducing exclusions, promoting positive behaviour, and offering support to students who are at risk of disengaging from school.

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Support students in managing their emotions, developing coping strategies, and maintaining focus in lessons
  3. Help students with attendance and reintegrate into mainstream classes after periods of exclusion or absence
  4. Work closely with the school's pastoral team, behaviour lead, and Heads of Year to track student progress
  5. Deliver restorative practices, supporting students in resolving conflicts and building positive relationships with peers and staff
  6. Support within the internal inclusion room or isolation area when required
  7. Provide guidance on study skills and encourage students to take responsibility for their learning

School Culture & Benefits:

  1. The school has a strong focus on inclusion, creating a supportive environment for students to succeed, regardless of their background or challenges
  2. You will receive regular supervision and CPD in behaviour management, restorative practices, and working with vulnerable students
