Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in primary settings across the borough of Waltham Forest, East London. You will work alongside teaching and pastoral teams to promote emotional regulation and positive behaviours, with assignments matched to your availability.

Ideal candidates will have relevant experience in behaviour support, schools or youth mentoring, and hold or willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in behaviour support, schools, youth mentoring, care or pastoral work.
• Patient, warm and professional with clear boundaries.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply, plus safeguarding checks.

Responsabilités

• Offer structured check-ins and help pupils recognise emotions and identify useful coping strategies.
• Support transitions, unstructured times and classroom participation using agreed approaches.
• Reinforce individual behaviour plans and respond calmly when pupils become dysregulated.
• Share accurate observations so school staff can review what is helping each pupil.

Behaviour Mentor | Waltham Forest | Emotional Regulation Support | £85.50-£110 per day | ASAP Start

Reeson Education is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in primary schools across the borough of Waltham Forest, East London, including Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone and Chingford. Opportunities are available for an ASAP start.

We would like to hear from a Behaviour Mentor who understands that consistent relationships and clear routines can help pupils feel secure enough to engage with learning.

Role Highlights for a Behaviour Mentor

• Position: Behaviour Mentor
• Pay: £85.50-£110 per day, depending on experience and assignment.
• Location: Waltham Forest, London.
• Start: ASAP, following registration and safeguarding checks.
• Working pattern: Assignments matched to your availability and experience.

Your Role as a Behaviour Mentor

Your work as a Behaviour Mentor will centre on supporting pupils' social and emotional needs alongside the school's teaching and pastoral teams.

• Offer structured check-ins and help pupils recognise emotions and identify useful coping strategies.

• A patient Behaviour Mentor who combines warmth with clear professional boundaries.
• Confidence working as part of a team and following safeguarding and reporting procedures.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, alongside satisfactory safeguarding checks.
