Job summary

Bramley Grange Academy in Surrey is seeking an exceptional Behaviour Mentor to join the dedicated team. You will work with pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop positive behaviours.

Working closely with families, teachers and external professionals, you will provide targeted support to promote engagement, resilience and independence, contributing to a positive school culture and high expectations.

Responsibilities

• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop positive behaviours.
• Promote engagement, resilience, self-regulation and personal growth.
• Provide targeted support through coaching and mentoring.
• Model positive behaviours and build confidence and social skills.
• Support behaviour for learning, attendance and engagement, with a focus on SEMH needs.

Job description

We are seeking an exceptional, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Behaviour Mentor to join the dedicated team at Bramley Grange Academy, a thriving special school set within 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Grafham.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the academy at a particularly significant time in its development. Over the past year, the school has achieved remarkable success, with our best-ever KS4 outcomes, demonstrating the outstanding achievements of our pupils. Alongside this, behaviour across the academy has improved significantly, with suspensions and restrictive physical interventions reducing dramatically, while attendance has more than doubled over the last year. These improvements reflect our unwavering commitment to high expectations, positive relationships, and ensuring every pupil can succeed.
