Job summary

Inspiration Trust is seeking a reliable Behaviour Manager for Hethersett Academy in Norwich. The role supports pupils temporarily removed from lessons, supervising learning activities in the Behaviour Room and reporting on behaviours to staff and parents.

You will analyse behaviour data, assist in policy development, and line-manage Behaviour Officers to maintain a safe, inclusive environment across the academy.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience or higher.
• Good basic level of education preferably including GCSE in Maths and English.
• Experience of working with children.
• Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to build good working relationships with teaching staff and other stakeholders.
• IT literate.
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken to internal and external customers.
• Ability to work with challenging situations and offer support in a calm manner.
• DSL training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that pupils that have been removed from lessons are supervised and undertake meaningful learning activities whilst in the Behaviour Room
• Observe and report on individual pupil's behaviours for learning
• Communicate and discuss with parents/carers the behaviour, or improvements in behaviour, of pupils
• Contribute to and monitor the school's internal exclusion records, identifying patterns and alerting staff of any concerns
• Investigate reported incidents and implement support for pupils
• Undertake analysis of behaviour data and provide regular reports for pastoral teams and senior leaders
• Assist in the development of Academy policies and procedures relating to behaviour as required
• Line manage Behaviour Officers at the Academy
