Job summary

Phoenix Collegiate is seeking a proactive and motivated Behaviour Manager to be a highly visible presence in the school. The role models constructive behaviour and actively challenges and motivates students to engage positively at all times, including during free time.

You will work with young people in a secondary school/SEMH context, managing conflicts and applying restorative practices to support self-regulation and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a secondary school, alternative provision, or SEMH setting.
• Experience in managing conflict and de-escalating challenging behaviour.
• Experience using restorative practices and working collaboratively to improve behaviour and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible presence in school to promote positive behaviour.
• Support student self-regulation and behavioural progress during school time and breaks.
• Implement and monitor the school’s behaviour and inclusion policies and procedures.

Phoenix is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Behaviour Manager, to provide a highly visible presence in school. Acting as a role model to students by proactively challenging and motivating them - and through establishing productive working relationships, the postholder will help ensure appropriate behaviour during free time, support student self-regulation and implement our behaviour and inclusion policies.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with young people in a secondary school, alternative provision, or SEMH setting; experience of managing conflict, de-escalating challenging behaviour, and applying restorative practices and experience of working collaboratively to positively impact on the behaviour and engagement of young people
