Job summary

Begbrook Primary Academy in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Lead Playworker to run the Breakfast Club, ensuring a safe and engaging start to the school day. The role requires leadership of a small team and clear communication with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with the line manager and playworkers to ensure smooth operation of the breakfast club
• Supervise, coach and support a team of playworkers; allocate work and quality assure their tasks
• Prepare and deliver activities meeting the needs of children across cognitive, creative, physical, emotional and social domains
• Lead a stimulating play programme considerate of individual needs and interests
• Promote positive behaviour and manage incidents in line with academy policy
