Job summary

The Beaford Community Primary and Nursery School is seeking a Playworker to join its Breakfast Club as a fixed-term role funded until July 2027. You will supervise and care for children before the school day, help serve breakfast, and run activities that foster social interaction.

The post is limited to two morning sessions a week, approximately two and a half hours in total, with days to be negotiated. Enhanced DBS clearance is required along with references prior to interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to children attending the club
• Run a safe, supervised environment for children before the school day
• Help serve a healthy breakfast
• Organise engaging and enjoyable activities
• Encourage positive social interaction between children
• Make sure children feel happy, secure and ready for the school day
• Work as part of the school team to run the club safely and effectively
• Follow school policies on safeguarding, health and safety and child welfare
