Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Livestock Manager to oversee a beef suckler herd on a rural estate in North Yorkshire. You will lead day-to-day farming operations, ensuring animal welfare and productivity while developing an organic, regenerative approach.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required.
• Proven beef cattle experience.
• Knowledge of organic/regenerative farming desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the suckler herd, including breeding, calving, youngstock and overall herd performance.
• Oversee livestock health, welfare and day to day husbandry.
• Manage grazing, grassland and forage to support the livestock enterprise.
• Coordinate daily farm operations, contractors and general maintenance.
• Maintain fencing, fields, machinery, vehicles and farm equipment.
• Keep accurate organic, certification and statutory records.
• Support environmental schemes and projects, contributing to the ongoing development of the farm.
