Job summary

Ashdown Park in Heathfield is seeking a Spa Therapist to work flexibly on a casual basis, delivering a range of luxury treatments to hotel residents, spa day guests and members.

You will maintain standards, provide a full range of beauty treatments, assist with reception duties, promote the hotel’s image, and ensure guest confidentiality at all times. Some training opportunities include advanced massage techniques and no-hands massage. Own transport is beneficial due to rural location.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy including massage therapies.
• Experience in delivering luxury beauty treatments is desirable.
• Excellent customer service and ability to put guests at ease.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of service and hygiene as directed by management.
• Provide a full range of beauty treatments for male and female clients.
• Provide reception cover when required – book appointments, handle cash procedures.
• Serve beverages in the Salon.
• Prioritise guest confidentiality and wellbeing at all times.
• Act as a Sales Person, promoting the hotel's image at all times.

Job description

Based in our luxurious Forest Spa you will be providing a range of luxury treatments to hotel residents, spa day guests and members. We are looking for a therapist to work flexibly on a casual basis. Hours offered can be week day and at weekends.

We are proud to partner with Oskia and Ishga, two advanced luxury skincare brands. We offer a wide range of treatments including manicures, pedicures, facials, body scrubs and various types of massage treatments. We seek to limit the amount of massage allocated to each therapist. We are also able to offer training and development opportunities such as “no hands” massage Hot stone , LAVA shell , Sports, Indian Head and pregnancy massages. Some experience is ideal but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of service and hygiene as directed by the Salon Manager and Health Club Manager.
• To provide a full range of beauty treatments for male and female clients, available within Salon opening hours.
• To provide Reception cover when required – duties to include answering the telephone booking appointments, and cash procedures.
• Serving of beverages as required in the Salon.
• Prioritise Guest confidentiality and wellbeing at all times.
• To act as a Sales Person, promoting the image of the Hotel at all times.

• A can-do approach to your work. Wanting to go that extra mile to have your guests leaving with an experience to talk about.
• Must have equivalent to NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy. Including massage therapies.
• Your personality is really important too, as you will be greeting guests and putting them at ease – so you must be comfortable talking to a wide range of people.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude are also key.
