JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager - Timber Windows & Frames

The COMPANY

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of wooden products for the building industry. Founded over a century ago, they are acknowledged market leaders in timber doors and windows. Their name is trusted throughout the industry by main contractors, builders, architects, self-builders, and more.

They have earned a reputation for quality products, excellent service, and their most valuable asset - their staff.

The ROLE

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to promote their premium products (timber windows & frames) to architects, developers, builders, installers, contractors, etc. The key responsibilities include:

  1. Account managing the existing client base
  2. Working closely with the design and estimating teams
  3. Developing and implementing strategic business development plans
  4. Working UK-wide
  5. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities

This role encompasses both new build and refurbishment projects, generally involving listed buildings.

The CANDIDATE

Our client seeks an enthusiastic and dynamic Business Development Manager with the ambition to build a career within a successful, expanding construction company.

You should possess:

  • BDM field sales experience
  • Experience selling into the built environment market sector
  • A proven record of winning and nurturing ongoing business
  • A good understanding of the route to market (architects, developers, builders, installers, contractors, etc.)

Salary: £45-£55K depending on experience, plus car allowance and an additional £10K OTE (uncapped)

Location: This role covers the UK, with suitable living locations including: Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Coventry, Norwich, Ipswich, King’s Lynn, Northampton, Peterborough, Cambridge, Colchester, Lincoln, Birmingham.
